Explore the treasures of antiquity in Egypt before seeing the city of the future in Dubai. On this 12-day vacation, you’ll explore the pyramids and see the Sphinx in Cairo before cruising the Nile from Luxor to Aswan. Then connect to Dubai to see the city and the surrounding desert.

    DAY 1- Arrive Cairo

You will be met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax or explore on your own.

    DAY 2 - Cairo

Today you will be taken on a full day tour that will first take you to the Pyramids and Sphinx. You will then head off to Memphis which served as the capital of Upper and Lower Egypt some 5,000 years ago during the 1st Dynasty. Menes, the first pharaoh of this dynasty, built a great white-walled palace and the Temple of Ptah here. Then onto Sakkara, one of the most exciting historical and archaeological area in all of Egypt, situated about 12 miles South West of Cairo. The site is dominated by the famous step pyramid of King Zoser.

DAY 3 - Cairo to Luxor

Today, you will transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your ship, your floating hotel for the next 5 days as you cruise up the Nile. In an unforgettable excursion, visitors drive to the Luxor Temple.

DAY 5 - Sail Edfu to Kom Ombo and Aswan

This morning you will visit the wonderfully preserved Temple of Horus at Edfu. The temple is perhaps the best preserved in all of Egypt. Continue sailing to Kom Ombo to visit the Graeco Roman style Temple of Sobek. Standing serenely on a hilltop, the site offers an incredible view over the Nile. Kom Ombo is located on a bend in the Nile River about 50 km north of Aswan.

    DAY 6 - Aswan

Today's sightseeing includes Aswan's High Dam and the Temple of Philae. Aswan, Egypt's sunniest southern city and ancient frontier town, is located about 81 miles south of Luxor and has a distinctively African atmosphere. Its ancient Egyptian name was Syene. Small enough to walk around and graced with the most beautiful setting on the Nile, the pace of life is slow and relaxing.
